Impetigo is a very common skin infection caused by staphylococcus aureus. This bacteria usually is present in swimming pool, bath tub, hotels or even in hospitals and it can cause a very superficial infection of the skin which looks very much of redness and scabbing and oozing and has to be treated with an oral antibiotic. Impetigo is better treated by a dermatologist or a physician because you have to take a 5 day course of antibiotic along with the specific creams and if you neglect it, it can spread over the body and to other people.
