Baby Zac developed heat rash on his upper body when he was about a month old. Even his face had these tiny spots that wouldn’t budge. The rash on his arm turned dry and scaly, I started to think it was eczema. Thankfully, a new routine and Bourn Beautiful Naturals Oat Rich Aloe Vera Lotion (fragrance-free) worked wonders for his skin.
Heat rash is caused when sweat glands on a baby’s skin become blocked. I realised we might not have been giving his skin enough opportunity to breathe, and leaving sweat on his skin for too long, leading to breakouts.
I decided to try a new routine with him to see if it would clear his skin:
👶🏾 wiping him down daily with water and a very small amount of baby soap
👶🏾 dressing him in layers and making sure he wasn’t overheating
👶🏾 applying the Oat Rich Aloe Vera Lotion to hydrate and soothe his skin after every bath or wipe down
👶🏾 applying the cream to each arm while he was breastfeeding and relaxed
Thankfully this routine worked and now his skin literally glows. Daddy and I also use the lotion to quench our parched hands!
