Eczema & Hormonal Skin. www.beautybonedeepwithvanessa.com

Vanessa here, keeping it real, because apparently my skin missed the memo that I’m a skincare + makeup educator. 🙃

If you’ve been watching my face do the most lately, this is why. I’ve been dealing with eczema flare-ups on my face, and let me tell you… it’s humbling when your literal job is skin and makeup and your skin is like, nah.

I’ve tried all the over-the-counter things.
I’ve tried multiple prescriptions.
Most recently? A round of prednisone just to calm things down enough to breathe.

I finally got in with my dermatologist (hallelujah) and we’re actively working on this. I’m currently on a JAK inhibitor in pill form, and next we’re adding an ointment specifically for flare-ups. This is all very new territory for me.

What’s wild is that this only started less than two years ago, and I truly believe it lines up with perimenopause + hormonal disruption. Because of course it does. 😅

I’m sharing this because: • skin issues don’t discriminate
• hormones are powerful little jerks
• and if you’re dealing with something similar, you’re not alone

Follow along.
I’ll keep sharing this journey- the wins, the setbacks, and what actually helps. If you’ve dealt with eczema, adult-onset skin issues, or hormone-related flare-ups, I’d love to hear your experience too. 🤍
