These cases are typically attributed to the contact allergants which are present in cell phone the commonest being nickel these metals are very allergenic, even if you wear artificial jewelry can cause certain redness and dryness. The contact dermatitis is because of the nickel which comes in contact with skin and heating of the cell phone which releases certain ingredients which causes lots of itching, redness and irritation. Any person using a smart phone more than 30 minutes is very prone to developing this. Be careful if your phone heats up do not use it for long hours, do not keep in contact with your ears for too long, use headphones or Bluetooth. Prevent direct contact of the especially when it is heated. The minute you notice dryness or redness please visit a dermatologist and get it treated.
