Phytophotodermatitis is a phototoxic reaction to contact with certain plants. This generally occurs during summer following some outdoor activity on a sunny day during which there has been contact with one of the responsible plants. The chemical can become activated by UVA rays through the process of photosynthesis. If your skin comes into contact with the chemical and the chemical becomes activated, a reaction can occur.
Make sure you wash your hands after touching these plants!
