About Me –
I (Sian Louise) started experimenting with organic, natural skincare ingredients whilst undergoing IVF treatment in 2019. As some may know, undergoing any type of fertility treatment takes a toll on your body and skin, that is where my adult acne reared its ugly head! Being a vegetarian, I also wanted to make sure everything I was consuming was as organic as possible (IVF turns you into a health freak!) so naturally, I wanted my skincare to be as organic as possible too.
Skincare is not only my passion, but it has helped me through a great deal.
You see, when I originally started my small business, I needed a distraction from life, lockdown and COVID-19. Before my 2nd miscarriage back in January 2020 (my 2nd round of IVF), I started eating organic and switched my skincare to more natural substances to aid the pregnancy. Being a PCOS sufferer, I struggled with acne previously, but being pregnant I wanted to find an organic solution I could apply topically that wouldn’t harm me, or the baby.
Unfortunately, I miscarried again.
I decided to take the negative energy from this experience and turn it into a positive.
This is where my business idea began. From here, I began furthering my research into biochemistry, natural ingredients, and sustainability in the beauty industry. On my educational journey, I continually gained new certificates in areas such as aromatherapy, anti-ageing and more. And so, my Organic Intensive Skin Recovery Cream was born.
Obvs Skincare offers organic, sustainable, and biodegradable skincare options for those who wish to be kind to their skin and the planet. All ingredients are organic and every product comes in biodegradable and/or recyclable packaging – using zero plastic!
Founded on good, honest, and simple morals, I have a scientific mind, but I am a hippie at heart. If you care about what you use on your body, and care about the planet, then be rest-assured knowing you are in the right hands.
Ingredients are never tested on animals and are ethically sourced. I ensure everyone included in the process is paid a fair wage, and that the practices used are environmentally sound. All ingredients are natural and organic, with many products being completely raw and unrefined. Just check out the info on each product to learn more.
The Organic Intensive Skin Recovery Cream is my holy grail. Helping 100s of people with nappy rash, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis and more. It was my 1st product that helped me turn my dream into a reality.
All products are currently made from my bespoke home lab, purpose built by my wonderful husband! Having my own lab in my back garden gives me the opportunity to formulate new products and experiment with my brand.
I strive to educate others on the ingredients within the products they use and help them with any skin concerns they may be struggling with. Aiming to be as kind as possible to the planet, my products will always be made with love; never with plastic or harmful chemicals, and will always be cruelty-free.
