Home Remedies for Scabies: Do natural cures and home remedies really work to Cure Scabies?

More information about Scabies can be found on my website:

Okay so in this video I’m going to briefly go over the common “natural remedies” for scabies that are often advertised. I’m then going to go into why I personally advise you to avoid treating yourself solely with these types of traditionally therapeutic medicines.

But first I want to talk about the page you see right now.

There are a lot of snake oil salesman who choose to make websites for scabies and this guy is a perfect example. This entirely too long sales page looks pretty spammy right off the bat. it’s is chalk full of cheesy phrases like “the drug industry would lose millions if everyone listened to this guy, he’s somewhat of an “online legend” who recently found this “little known wonder tree with Miracle oil that will cure your scabies” I’m not joking, it says that somewhere in here (he’s referring to tea tree oil bttw). I mean you can kind of see how bogus this all looks.

At the end of the sales page he want’s you to pay $39.99 for his ebook that I assume just tells you to go out and buy tea tree oil in the supermarket, or maybe he wants you to buy his special tea tree oil i don’t know

Anyway I just wanted to show you this page to help you stray away from these types of people.

Okay so Now we’re going to cruise over to my little visual presentation thingy

and I’m going to go over the most common natural remedies you’ll find promoted online for scabies. Here’s a brief list of the most common natural scabies treatments that I’ve seen.

Tea tree oil
food grade (Dia-to-maceous) Diatomaceous earth, I might be mispronouncing that.
Clove oil
neem oil
Orange oil
vinegar

There are also a lot of specially made scabies creams and scabies soaps on Amazon and in health food stores. These are mostly comprised of oils that I’ve already mentioned, and beyond providing soothing effects to your skin they don’t really bring much more to the table.

So the real question is: are these oils and natural remedies really going to kill all of the scabies on me once and for all? My simple answer is no. It is highly highly unlikely, and I have yet to hear of someone being cured by them.

I have read a couple stories of individuals being cured by sulphur and clove oil, but I don’t hold much trust in the people who posted that. They’re the type that sit in the scabies Topix forum for 2 years continually coming back with new cure stories. I don’t know if you’ve been to that forum but it’s a little bit depressing.

So anyway. While oils like Clove can actually kill the mites, it just isn’t strong enough to get in and kill all of the bugs in your skin.

I tried to use all of these oils at one point. I bathed in sulphur, applied tea tree and clove twice daily and all it did was cause my skin irritation. The mites lived on.

So if we can’t be cured by these natural products, then do we have to use the pharmaceutical stuff?

In my opinion it is really the only good option. There is a lot of fear out there that these medications will cause you harm but I can tell you from personal experience that taking moderate to high doses of the main treatments (ivermectin and permethrin) that no ill effects arose from using them. They are pretty safe so really you don’t have much to worry about.

I think that’s all for this video. I really just wanted to give my brief opinion on natural scabies cures because they really didn’t help me out and i’m sure lots of people are in the same place I was, looking all over the place for help.

Thanks for taking a look at this video and best of luck in your cure.
