शरीर में खुजली होने के प्रमुख कारण हैं – स्केबीज़ यानी खुजली की बीमारी, फंगल इन्फेक्शन और एक्जिमा। लेकिन दूसरी कई और बिमारियों में भी खुजली चलती है – जैसे जुएँ, सोरिएसिस, ड्राई स्किन या इक्थिओसिस, चिकन पॉक्स और हर्पीस।किडनी/लिवर की बीमारी और दवाइयों के रिएक्शन से भी शरीर में खुजली हो सकती है इसलिए खुजली की बीमारी को पहचानना और उसका सही इलाज करना बहुत जरुरी है।
