Is Eczema a genetic disease? – Dr. Jagadish Puttarangappa

So eczema yes it can be genetically acquired. But it is not going to transmit to one person to one person if there not genetically related. So through contact by touching the eczema you will never get that eczema. It depends on the genetic morphology of their lineage or basically it is because of the genetic influence, these immune response because hyper as a result of that the skin tend to show lot of immunological reactions within them and leads to this eczematous changes. When it comes to, there is some, there is lot of wrong concepts on eczemas. Some people they have think that touching the eczematous patient, there also getting, totally it’s wrong. So please don’t believe that just by touching the eczematous condition, eczematous skin, you are never going to get the eczemas, unless otherwise you are genetically prone to develop that. So even if you are genetically prone to develop by mere touching the other person you will never get it because eczemas will develop within the skin only, within the body. It’s an immunological mediated reaction or immunological mediated issues which happen within the skin. So it’s not contagious it’s very clear, it is never going to spread from person to person and please believe in that. Don’t hesitate to touch them and don’t try to segregate them if they have got any skin conditions which is diagnosed as eczematous.
