The itchy rash which is intolerant to heat at finger tips is commonly farm frolics. It’s a type of eczema which we call it as a dihydrotic eczema where people tend to sweat more and they are more prone for itchy reactions. This sometimes runs in family and it can be very distressing. Occasionally they do improve with creams, but many at times they require tablets or other interventions. Sometimes when sweating is too intense, we do some treatments to reduce the sweating in addition to doing medications for controlling the itching. But by and large this is a very simple thing which can be handled, but whenever it is very bothersome, do consult your physician or a dermatologist and they can definitely guide you. Nowadays we have lot of medications which can treat this condition very effectively and improve the quality of life. Itching in this condition many times get aggravated because of use of lot of detergents, not using moisturisers and also exposure to lot of chemicals. One thing I would like to emphasise is the exposure to nickel and chromium. So knowingly or unknowingly we consume lot of nickel, it can be in chocolates, it can be in green leafy vegetables, and if a person is sensitive to nickel, then they can have an exaggerated response or an exaggerated itchy sensation in this condition. Second thing is commonly the chromium. Chromium, people are exposed to chromium, in the form of cement, leather items. So if you have intense itching in the palms or in the fingers and if you have this type of a rash, then do keep a watch on your exposure to cement. Basically this is important for engineers who are working on site or people who are dealing with leather items. So for example, it can be person who is dealing with shoe showroom or person who is just marketing leather items, any leather items. So they need to be careful.
