Pharmaceutical grade vs medical grade 🤢
Pharmaceutical grade is becoming the new “medical grade” which is still very misleading to consumers.
Pharmceutical products are products intended to diagnose, treat, alleviate or prevent a disease.
Sunscreens are technically a cosmetic drug in some parts of the world, and so are products that say “treats acne” or “heals eczema”, but I still don’t like seeing people use pharmaceutical grade because it still has that connotation that it is somehow “superior” to brands sold at sephora/the drug store.
