Meditations on Eczema Series Part 2 – Acknowledging Landmarks & Transitions

Music: Tycho – Dye : PBS (The Lonely Astronaut Cover/Remix)

Welcome to the Meditations on Eczema Series Part 2 – Acknowledging Landmarks & Transitions! Having eczema, it’s so easy to just notice the negative side, the pain, and the relapses we go through on our process to find our healing path. There are many surprise twists, turns, and developments. Sometimes rashes reappear and sometimes new ones catch us off guard. It’s very easy to think that we’re just constantly surrounded by unknown and unpredictable factors and triggers that leave us covered in rashes and wounds. But in between these episodes, there are moments of glory and reprieve that may go unnoticed or get taken for granted as being “normal”. It can be easy to dismiss or be wary of feeling too good or relaxed when things are going well in case another rash or itching fest occurs. But the healing does happen, even if just for a moment, a minute, a day, a month, etc. It happens. And it is worth noticing and celebrating at least as much, if not twice as much as the times we are in suffering. This shift in attention will not only improve your psyche and outlook on life, but will start to send messages to your body to give the healing more attention and in my experience, next thing you know, you become a magnet for more healing and more ways of healing come your way because you notice them more. It takes practice, and over time can become second nature, on autopilot, like it is for me now. I hope this gift of choice and shifting your energy’s direction to positivity and healing will help you or someone you love.
