Aveeno® Baby | Eczema Equality 2023

Eczema looks different on every skin tone.

When parents search ‘baby eczema,’ the results are babies with lighter skin tones, leaving parents with children who have darker skin tones underrepresented in photos and resources.

The underrepresentation is startling since the risk for sever eczema may be 6x higher in Black children compared to white children.

Research shows eczema is the most common childhood skin disease and often more severe for people of color leaving parents with children of color with fewer resources to adequately assess or treat the skin health needs of their babies.

Aveeno® Baby is continuing its mission to help close the Eczema Equality gap.

Help us help more families identify eczema on their children’s Black and brown skin.
