Rita is the ultimate powerhouse and you can learn a lot of useful strategies to use in your business and your life from her throughout this episode.

Rita shares how she set up her business, Pardo Naturals, when her life circumstances changed and she had to quit her job to care for her family. Rita went to barber school and also briefly studied cosmetology while being a school bus driver for 10 years, before she retired to take care of her children and husband.

Her company, Pardo Naturals, creates and sells natural products for the body, hair, home and pets! The company started when Rita wanted to find a solution for her daughter’s eczema, but it’s grown so much that her cleaning products are now her number one seller.

Stephanie and Rita discuss the importance of routine and creating time for yourself. Rita states that you have to look after yourself before you can look after anyone else. Rita also shares her routine and how she stays consistent and intentional with looking after herself and her family.

Stephanie and Rita speak about the press and how impactful first impressions are. Rita explains how companies don’t reach out to you to let you know that they’re going to try your products – they just do it and leave honest reviews about your business and products so having great quality pictures/posts and an easy to navigate website is everything!

Stephanie and Rita also talk about outsourcing, delegating and how much support virtual assistants can provide. Rita shares her experience with a virtual assistant and how having one made navigating through her emails so much easier and quicker. The ladies remind you that you do not have to do everything yourself, and everything you do has an amount of money attached to it – so make sure it’s worth your time!

Rita explains the importance of your customers knowing who they’re buying from. Rita states that people like to see who’s behind the business so that they can see you, like you and most importantly trust you. Rita’s advice to those who are scared to show their face in their business is to remember that you cannot please everybody so just be you!

Rita leaves you with some final advice – if you are struggling, ask for help! Delegate when you can and try your best to not be a perfectionist.
