DIY: Make Your Own All Natural Anti Itch Powder & Paste (Easy!)

This easy 3 ingredient anti-itch powder can be used directly on the skin, in the bath or as a paste to relieve itchy skin conditions. Great for summer! Soothes insect bites, sunburn, heat rash and anything that itches.

Optional Herbs:
Witch hazel: is astringent and can relieve the itch caused by rash, psoriasis and eczema. Use witch hazel powder in the recipe or simply mix the basic anti-itch recipe with witch hazel extract instead of using water.
St John’s Wort: astringent and can be used to refresh and moisturize itchy skin.
Aloe Vera: the gel from the leaf of the aloe plant is often used to treat skin problems like burns. It is also useful for itchy rashes. It is anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antifungal. Use aloe powder in the recipe or simply mix the basic anti-itch recipe with aloe juice instead of using water.
Chamomile: this herb is an anti-inflammatory and helps relieve itchiness. If you are allergic to ragweed, you may not want to choose chamomile.
Calendula: reduces inflammation and stimulates the production of white blood cells. Soothes itchy skin.
Jewelweed: provides relief from the stinging and itching caused by poison oak, poison ivy, stinging nettles and insect bites and stings.
Wild pansy: soothes itches associated with eczema.
Neem: is good for many kinds of skin ailments when applied topically.
Peppermint: is great for bug bites and itching, as it provides a cooling sensation that will give you welcome relief.
Basil Leaves: contain powerful anti-itch compounds called camphor and thymol.
Plantain: the natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of plantain leaf make it great for healing wounds, and for itching or pain associated with skin problems.
