Hey everyone!
I wore henna in a previous video or Instagram post and got a ton of requests to post a tutorial on how I did it, so finally, here it is! This is fairly older footage so that’s why my hands in the intro and outtro don’t have henna on them. Hope this video helps!
*DISCLAIMER* I’m definitely not a henna expert. This tutorial is solely to show you how I have done my own henna in the past 🙂
*TIPS AND TRICKS*:
*Squeeze some lemon juice onto your finished design to help promote darker color and a longer lasting stain
*Heat will also help to create a darker and more lasting stain
*The paste will continue to stain for as long as it is moist, so try to keep the paste wet for as long as possible (I just learned this tip!)
*Thicker skin tends to hold henna stains longer, so the palm of your hand will have a darker, longer-lasting stain than the back of your hand

WHAT’S THAT RED STUFF AROUND MY MOUTH? I have a skin condition called perioral dermatitis. It causes dry, itchy, and red skin around my mouth. There is no known cause or cure, just my luck! No need to worry, it’s not life-threatening or contagious (except we’re not really in person right now sooo….), and I have seen my doctor about it, but anyways, feel free to ask me any questions you have about it in the comments!
