How to Make Homemade Lotion Bars

Homemade Lotion Bars have simple ingredients and a simple recipe. These are wonderful bars for hydrating and moisturizing your skin, especially in the winter. My hands get blistered, chapped, and cracked skin, and these lotion bars help keep my hands mositurized and feeling good.

INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup coconut oil
14oz
1 gallon
1/2 cup beeswax
bars
pellets
1/4 cup mango butter
8 oz
2 pound
1/4 cup cocoa butter
8 oz
16 oz
Few drops vitamin e oil (optional)
Few drops tea tree oil (optional)

TOOLS
Pot
Glass Jar/Measuring Cup
Wooden Spoon
Oven Mit
Silicone Mold
Measuring Cups

Melt all ingredients together except for oils. Once everything has melted, remove from heat, and stir in oils. Pour into molds, and let harden overnight. In the morning, pop out of molds and you can use them right away.
NOTE: Because coconut oil has a melting point under 80 degrees, you may find that during the summer, your bars are softer, and during the winter they are harder. If you are making these lotion bars during the summer, and you want them to be harder, add more beeswax. If you make the lotion bars, and you still feel they are too soft, drop them back into your glass jar to melt, add more beeswax, and then remold.
