Scarring Alopecia is a type of disease of your scalp which can cause permanent loss of hairs. There are conditions when you have taken multiple treatments from different places and still there are patches of hair loss on your scalp. This can be because of scarring Alopecia. At our Clinic we are doing a detailed examination computerized hair analysis blood test and if required scalp biopsy has to be done to rule out any underlying diseases of the scalp. In some patients they notice as boils or severe itching of scalp in some conditions there are sensitive areas of the scalp where the hair starts shedding. It may turn dark and the hairs might shed there permanently. When it is in active stage if you are treating the disease it will avoid further progression of hair loss and preserve your hair for more period. Once a scarring Alopecia happens it can cause permanent loss of hairs and this can’t be reversed with any medications or treatments. So if you are trying any home remedies or such unscientific treatments at your home or from people who are not qualified it may cause permanent loss of your hairs. Some burns conditions also can cause scarring alopecia, where there is a permanent loss of hair follicles which will cause a permanent scar on your scalp.
