Lifelong asthmatic recommends using nasal spray before exercise to reduce sinus passage swelling, in order to increase air flow through the sinus cavities during exercise.
1. Stay well hydrated
2. Take your inhaler and sinus meds 20 to 30 minutes before exercise
3. Warm up slowly… Increase your heart rate slowly
4. Asthmatics should exercise frequently, and get disciplined about doing most of your exercise below your maximum heart rate for less lung stress, lung irritation, and quicker overall recovery!
