Geek & Gorgeous C Glow Serum
Ascorbic Acid is one of the few proven ingredients to enhance collagen production in the skin. It also helps brighten skin and protect it from UV damage.
At Geek & Gorgeous:
Versed Press Restart Gentle Retinol Serum
Contains Retinol (pure Vitamin A) which is probably the most proven anti-aging ingredient available OTC. Also contains Bakuchiol which along with retinol, upregulates collagen I, III and IV production and downregulate MMP, the evil collagen attacking enzyme in our skin.
At Target:
The Ordinary Buffet with Copper Peptides
Contains Copper Peptides which stimulates the production of several important skin-identical ingredients (e.g. collagen, elastin, and glycosaminoglycans) and has unique wound healing properties by stimulating the breakdown of unhealthy, too large collagen in scar tissue and stimulating nice and healthy collagen production afterwards.
Also contains several other peptides which can help with fine lines and wrinkles.
At Ulta:
Acure Radically Rejuvenating Whipped Night Cream
Contains EGF’s which are cellular signal molecules that can stimulate cell growth, proliferation, healing and/or differentiation. They also showed significant improvement in the appearance of fine lines and rhytids, skin texture, and pore size.
At Ulta:
Trader Joe’s Antioxidant Facial Serum
Contains several anti-aging ingredients including Resveratrol. Resveratrol works on a cellular level to fight the process of aging by stimulating healthy cell proliferation. Scientists explain that “Resveratrol forms complex molecules with certain metal ions, inactivating their ability to form free radicals, and therefore improving cellular function and supporting fibroblasts, along with the creation of healthy collagen.”
Available at Trader Joe’s- be wary of purchasing this on Amazon!!!
Kinship Self Smooth 10% Glycolic Serum
Contains 10% Glycolic Acid, which increases collagen synthesis. This is the biggest benefit of glycolic acid compared to all the other AHAs. The skin firming, collagen boosting ability seems to be the best with the smallest and simplest version of all the AHAs (probably because being the smallest means also that it can penetrate the deepest). But be patient: collagen synthesis takes time, so this one is a long-term benefit. Count as much as 4-6 month to see some change.
At Ulta:
The Ordinary Pycnogenol
Pinus Pinaster Bark Extract, also used under the trademarked name Pycnogenol, is a great antioxidant. It can be applied orally or topically. Pine bark has anti-inflammatory properties. When skin becomes inflamed, it takes on a red and puffy appearance. Not only does this cloud the complexion, it can also irritate other skin conditions or cause them to occur. Pine bark can help to reduce the look of inflammation, revealing more radiant-looking skin. In addition, because it is anti-inflammatory, it can accelerate the skin’s natural regeneration process and deliver collagen and antioxidants to sites of irritation so that the skin can better replenish itself.
