All dermatitis are eczema or all dermatitis are eczemas. There are stages in it, they are acute, subacute or chronic, like early stage there maybe itching and little oozing maybe there and in the second stage there maybe crust formation and in the chronic eczema there will be thickened and pigmented skin, lichenified skin. Depending on the type, acute, subacute or chronic, the treatment varies. So, accordingly you may get the treatment form the dermatologist depending on the stages of the eczema. Acute may turn into chronic. There maybe remissions and exacerbations. Atopic dermatitis, there maybe remissions and exacerbations depending on the season also.
