Part 3 – Choosing oils with your hair in mind

How might your hair be different from someone else’s, even if you’re both “4C”? How can you select oils for your hair? What’s a good way to investigate a new oil?

We will cover these questions in this part of the workshop. We will also summarise the main oil characteristics we’re looking for depending on the stage of the routine.

Having learnt how oils can affect your hair at different stages of your regimen, we will now make your implementation more personalised.

You will learn:
What misconceptions there are about oil use and how you can tailor your oil use to suit your hair & preferences
How your hair can differ from someone else’s
The relevance of using oils/butters at various regimen steps so you don’t give yourself unnecessary work to do, e.g. pre-pooing when you don’t need to
My 3-step FTO method for investigating an oil/butter and deciding if it’s worth your time.
How the method works in practice, and a few examples for choosing oils depending on your needs.
