Excited to share my next Communication with Eczema series video, Part 2: Classmates and Co-Workers.
“The tools of our destruction can be the tools of great creation.” In saying this, I’m referring to our hands. Anyone with eczema or who knows someone personally with eczema will immediately understand what this means.
And in the spirit of great creation, I’d like to give a massive shoutout to the following super talented creative folks I’ve been lucky to have interacted with and whose art I’ve been graced to behold on Instagram. If you’re looking for amazing artwork, hit up one of these super blessed individuals for some sweet-ass original art and illustrations!

When you have eczema, you have so much inspiration to draw from and develop some SKILLS! (I’m not as strong an artist as those listed above, but I can do a mean karaoke!)
Having eczema, we are still people and still need to learn and still need to work and pay those bills (especially for that eczema fund–skincare, medication, appointments, therapies, etc.–you know what I’m sayin’? hehe) You know if you have eczema, you’re not just doing what your peers and colleagues are doing, you’re doing that and more. You are studying and you’re recovering. You’re working and pushing through a lot of pain. You’re doing quadruple duty that people without eczema don’t even have to think twice about. So, if we still make it out to class or make it out to work, boy, are we some hard-ass workers! That is a quality that should be valued by teachers, classmates bosses, and co-workers. To have resilience. And if you have to call in sick, it is for a very legitimate reason and not to avoid doing the work you know you’re qualified to do.
