Ghee is guru or heavy!
To digest a heavy fat like ghee on an empty stomach, you must have a sharp flawless digestive fire!
Even if you are a super-healthy person, the Agni AKA digestive fire is quite low in the morning & having a heavy fat as it is, first thing in the morning may not be a good thing & may lower your gut health!
The best way to consume ghee in the morning and to get all its benefits in sharpening your digestive fire is to cook your breakfast in ghee!
I personally love my ghee-roasted banana for breakfast! Like that, you can have your favourite breakfast cooked in ghee.
Cooking is a “samskara” or processing that makes ghee lighter to digest and makes it easy to be digested, broken down and absorbed.
Please note: Even if ghee has so many benefits and is generally good for everyone for improving gut health, please reduce the consumption if you have chronic indigestion, IBS- D, liver cirrhosis, splenomegaly, hepatomegaly (enlarged liver), etc.
You will learn all about everyday foods, who they are good for, who they are not, and the best ways to consume them in my upcoming course starting July 7th, 2024.
