This Honey and Oat Body Cream is full of skin-soothing ingredients including honeyquat, colloidal oatmeal, chamomile extract, shea butter, and a touch of beeswax. It’s scented with Lemon Honey Fragrance Oil, which is a sweet and creamy honey fragrance that complements the ingredients nicely. We found because of the vanilla notes, it does give the lotion a light yellow color.

Honeyquat is a water-soluble liquid that is derived from honey. It has properties similar to glycerin – it’s a humectant which draws water from the air to your skin. Colloidal oatmeal is also added during the cool down- phase. Colloidal oatmeal is essentially oatmeal that has been ground into a very fine powder. Colloidal oatmeal is commonly used for skin-soothing oat baths to soothe irritated skin. We are harnessing those skin-loving properties in this recipe.
Thanks to the butters, beeswax, and Polawax, the texture is a thick cream. Because it’s water-based, it’s not as oily as a body butter, but definitely heavier than most lotions. Because of the thick texture we recommend using a jar to store this product.
