When using a topical steroid cream or ointment, it’s essential to continue using your emollient. Keep in mind that there’s no specific rule about which one to apply first, but leaving 20 to 30 minutes between your emollient and steroid can prevent dilution. If you’re using aqueous cream, it’s a good idea to stop as it can worsen eczema due to Sodium Laurel Sulfate (SLS) content. Replace it with your emollient, and after your shower, gently pat your skin dry with a soft towel before reapplying your emollient. These steps can make a significant difference in your eczema management. #Eczema #skincaretips
