As a licensed cosmetologist of more than 20 years, and a cosmetology instructor, I frequently see clients with scalp issues resulting in flakes. Often, people seem to think all flakes are dandruff, and that’s not always the case. In some instances, it can be dry scalp, sebhorreic dermatitis, psoriasis, or eczema. Each of those conditions should be treated differently, and often, treating them incorrectly can cause conditions to worse. Hopefully this video arms you with information so you know what to do, or when to seek medical assistance.
