It was during her modeling years in her late teens that Dr. Brei’s skin began to deteriorate. The constant onslaught of heavy makeup, followed by harsh facial cleansers and detergents, made her skin into a proverbial punching bag of chemical abuse. She began to suffer from serious skin conditions, including acne, eczema and dermatitis. Dr. Brei was determined to find the route of her skin problems. Her moment was during her doctoral studies in water purification at University of Toronto, which led her to the discovery of unique minerals for the purification of skin.
