🔹 Dead Sea salt is comprised of 21 beneficial minerals including; magnesium, potassium, calcium, bromide and sulfur.
🔹 For me Sea salt wraps were the best way to feed these minerals directly into my skin. I normally do this in a shallow bath or shower. 🔹 Pressing the salt onto the skin gives time to disinfect the area (bacteria in the broken skin causes itching to worsen), draw out toxins and allow minerals to move across into the skin cells and deeper layers – so the longer the better.
🔹Rinse and take a moment to relax then wash off with COLD water to close the pores and stimulate the lymphatic system. 🔹 I find the next day my cuts partially healed, inflammation reduced and the itching was very minimal. I did this for a week initially. Now I try to keep up with salt wrapping once a month.
IMPORTANT:
⚠️ This methods stings/burns, especially when there’s cuts, but the outcomes are worthwhile. If your skin is keeping you up at night, a salt wrap before bed can stop the itching, heal your cuts and help you have a better sleep.
⚠️ To cope with the pain, focus on your breathing and squeeze tightly – the sting will disappear over a period of a couple minutes if it doesn’t and you are struggling – rinse and repeat. ⚠️ Any Dead Sea salt is fine but ensure it is 100% natural and not too chunky, “finer” salt or “flakes” are better. If you can’t use Dead Sea salt use “sea salt” until you get your hands on some Dead Sea salt.
⚠️ I do not recommend scrubbing the salt as this can cause microscopic abrasions and introduce further bacteria. This method also gives less time for the minerals to move into the deeper skin layers. So press!! .
