Can Asthma be cured permanently? – Dr. Hirennappa B Udnur

Asthma doesn’t have any cure. Only in 0.00005 % of the boys who outgrow their age in 14 to 15, there is some chance of cure for asthma, the goal if asthma treatment is to have a control. So asthma is a disease where they can have their good days and bad day, wheezing an non wheezing days. So it is a variable disease. So the goal of the treatment is they should be able to activities of daily living in the day time without any problem, they should sleep well in the night time without getting any wheezing attacks and they should do all their works and attacks of asthmas and their lung functions and peak flowmeter should be absolutely fine. So that should be the goal of the treatment of asthma.
