Dark circle is excessive pigmentation around the eye. It occurs commonly due to lack of proper sleep, excessive rubbing of eyes, improper removal of eye make-up, improper skin routine eye pigmentation. It is also common among atopic dermatitis patients. Anatomical reasons like deeply seated eye socket or loss of fat as a part of aging process may cause hollowness of the eye which is associated with eye pigmentation in some patients.
