Eczema occurs through so many different triggers and there are so many different types of it based on location and cause that it makes it hard to pinpoint unlike another actual disease like athlete’s foot or diabetes that have very specific, direct and structured ways to analyse and breakdown cause and a treatment plan that will work consistently.
At this point in my life, it seems like to say that eczema is a disease is to say that pain is a disease. That being tired or hungry is a disease. They’re not diseases. They’re just symptoms of other diseases or imbalances going on. The skin is our ultimate suit or amor and sensor. It tells us what’s going on inside and outside and if it is very off balance, it shows us through rashes that the issue is more urgent and needs more serious attention so that we can repair our suit of armour and continue to protect our internal organs.
Here are some examples of how some eczema-like rashes can actually just be the symptom of a larger issue/disease:
Eczema as a symptom of Candida overgrowth/toxicity in the blood from oversumption of sugars/body’s response to balance sugar levels/inflammatory diet:
Candida and Eczema Video –
Eczema as a symptom of Cancer/weakened immune system:
“If you treat the cancer, the rash goes away.
“The most common type of cancer that causes rashes and presents with symptoms that dermatologists are used to seeing are blood cancers.”
“Skin cancer rashes may take on a similar scaly appearance, and the skin may also crack or bleed. Skin cancer rashes are more likely to contain oddly colored patches of skin, not just red. Raised bluish or yellow bumps may appear on the skin, and the skin may have a waxy, shiny appearance. The markings of skin cancer are also more likely to be asymmetrical.”
The main takeaway is that it’s important to look deeper and treat the root cause, whether it’s a disease or circumstance that creating the imbalance and inflammation. To only treat the symptom is just to put a bandaid over it and say it’s healed because you can’t see the symptom anymore, yet its cause is still there, making it inevitable for it to show itself again.
