World Atopic Eczema Day |Causes & symptoms of atopic eczema | How to live a Normal Life with Eczema

Hi Bio- Fam,

Today, September 14th is World Atopic Eczema Day! Did you know that atopic eczema is the second most common skin disease after acne*? According to Prof. Nicolas “Atopic dermatitis is an inflammatory skin disease. As the skin barrier is altered, the skin allows all external agents to pass through, which creates this inflammation. There are many symptoms of atopic dermatitis, but the main one is pruritus, which leads to erythematous, scaly, weeping lesions that can affect the whole body, but which often affect specific areas such as the face, the neck, elbow creases and knee creases.” On the occasion of this special day, Bioderma went to meet: – Prof. Nicolas, Dermatologist and Professor of Immunology in France – África, co-founder of the Asociación de Afectados por la Dermatitis Atópica (AADA) @somosaada in Spain – Manon @asso_eczema and Lydia @_lydslife, patients with eczema from France and England So that they could share their experiences and show us that it is possible to accept and live normally with this disease. * Source: Association Française de l’Eczéma
