Description:
Indications of Lulizol 10

Luliconazole is indicated for the topical treatment of interdigital:-

Tinea pedis (athelet’s foot), Tinea cruris, and Tinea corporis.

Pharmacology

Luliconazole is a topical antifungal agent. It is a broad-spectrum antifungal agent and belongs to the azole class. It fights fungi by inhibiting lanosterol demethylase and blocking the synthesis of ergosterol, which is an important part of fungal cell membranes. Therefore, it has strong bactericidal activity against Dermatophytes, Candida albicans, Malassezia, Trichophyton and Epidermophytes both in vitro and in vivo.

Dosage & Administration of Lulizol 10

Adult:

Interdigital tinea pedis: Luliconazole cream should be applied to the affected area and approximately 1 inch of the immediate surrounding area(s) once daily for two weeks.

Tinea cruris and Tinea corporis: Luliconazole cream should be applied to the affected area and approximately 1 inch of the immediate surrounding area(s) once daily for one week.

Geriatric:
Same as adult
Pediatric:
Safety and effectiveness have not been established.

Interaction of Lulizol 10
Since this medicine is to be used externally on the skin, it is less likely to interact with other medicines.

Luizole Cream used in a larger amount for a prolonged period may interact with the action of omeprazole (used in acidity).

You should consult your doctor if you are on any other medicines along with Luizole Cream.

Contraindications:
There are no specific contraindications of Luizole Cream identified during use. However, it is advisable to consult your doctor if you have any health-related concerns.

Side Effects
Contact dermatitis and cellulitis may occur. Application site reactions were observed in iess than 1% of subjects in clinical trial.

Pregnancy & Lactation
Pregnancy category C. There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. Luliconazole should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit demonstrates a potential risk to the fetus. It is not clear whether luliconazole is excreted in human milk. Since many drugs are excreted in breast milk, caution should be exercised when using luliconazole cream in breastfeeding women.

Precautions & Warnings
If an unusual allergic reaction occurs while taking Luliconazole, the medication should be stopped and proper treatment started. Luliconazole should only be used topically. It should not be used in ophthalmic, oral, or intravaginal procedures.

Do not store above 30°C. Keep away from light and out of the reach of children.
