“Anyone can develop eczema – a chronic skin condition which results in widespread rashes, dry and itchy skin; but not everyone has it.”
Those who are with a little one on an eczema recovery journey would have understood that eczema is likely to be genetically inherited and triggered by environmental factors, therefore it is NOT CONTAGIOUS! Contrary to what people might believe, eczema is not something that you will catch through physical contact.
What the little boy experienced in this video is something that may happen to other children with eczema as well. As a parent, nothing matters more than knowing that your child looks forward to go to school. So, let’s share this video to get more people to know, especially children, that eczema is simply not contagious. Together, we can play a part in raising eczema awareness through empathy, kindness and understanding.
In conjunction with Eczema Awareness month in October, we also have a surprise giveaway for you. Stay tuned to our next post!
We would also like to thank Dr Nirmala, Paediatric Dermatologist for helping us to understand better about eczema.
