HI there!
Welcome back.
In today’s video, I will be teaching you how to make an emulsified body butter.
Emulsifying body butter refers to the process of combining oil-based ingredients (such as cocoa butter, shea butter, or coconut oil) with water-based ingredients (such as aloe vera, hydrosols, or floral waters) to create a smooth, creamy lotion or moisturizer that is easy to apply and absorbs quickly into the skin.
The emulsification process involves using an emulsifier, which is a substance that helps to bind the oil and water components together, preventing them from separating. Some commonly used emulsifiers in body butter formulations include beeswax, lecithin, and emulsifying wax.
Emulsifying body butter can result in a more luxurious and hydrating product than a simple oil-based body butter, as the addition of water-based ingredients allows the skin to better absorb the moisturizing benefits of the formula.
