Atlanta’s First Farm-to-Skin Spa | Made in America Ep 3

Entrepreneur in Residence Scott Shigeoka chats with Yolanda Owens about her journey to launch iwi fresh and open a second location during the pandemic. Brought to you by GoDaddy. Watch more Made in America videos:

Following in the footsteps of her home-remedy queen grandmother, Yolanda Owens decides to learn all about nutrition and skin care to help tackle her son’s eczema. But handcrafting natural ointments straight from her lush garden was only the beginning. Despite not being ready financially, she takes the plunge to leave corporate America and become an entrepreneur made in America. She launches iwi fresh — a farm-to-skin spa and holistic skincare product line. At the very heart and soul of iwi fresh is the mission to provide accessible wellness to the inner-city Black community and inspire young girls (including her own children) to chase after their biggest dreams. And that’s what keeps her going to grow her business with grit, despite the challenges she faces during the pandemic and an unexpected battle with cancer. Stay tuned for the next episode as Scott reveals what happens with Yolanda’s business and new location, Farm Oasis.
