Understanding Eczema and its causes – Dr. Jagadish Puttarangappa

Eczema means boil out. It is derived basically from the Greek word. Eczema is basically a group of skin conditions. It is basically inflamed, irritated, itchy skin conditions. It happens because of many reasons, right from contact with any kind of allergens, dry skin, sometimes even the cloth what you wear. Because of the dry weather so like that many causes will lead to this eczematous condition. Depending on the cause, depending on the site involved, depending on shape, depending on whether it is dry or whether depending on these conditions we divide to the eczema in dry and wet eczema. So if dry is there we normally tend to use maximum moisturizes and cool it down that eczema by removing the dryness or removing the scaling just with moisturizes. Thereby the skin settles down and becomes normal. And we have to remove the causative agents most of the time if it is because of the dry weather if it is because of the cold weather, we have to keep the body little bit warm. And if it is because of some soap allergy we need to avoid the soap contact or if it is allergic to some rubber items or metal items we need to avoid that or if you are allergic to some nuts. Even sometimes eating some nuts and any food items or food additives which normally nowadays many people keep using these food additives, they are prone to develop these eczemas because of the reactions within the body which leads to eczematous changes.
