Skin gets itchy during dry and hot summer months. The problem is worse for people who have inherently dry skin. We also tend to take multiple baths during summer which adds to the problem.

But taking care of itchy skin during summers is not that difficult. Here is what Dr Nitin Maske recommends.

1. Take care of your hydration. Drink 2-3 litres of water every day.
2. Eat fruits and vegetables which are have lots of water like watermelon, tomatoes etc.
3. Use a light moisturizer. Preferably one which has aloe vera.
4. When taking a bath do not use soaps or bathing gels which are high on chemicals. Instead use a light non foaming bathing gel.
5. Oatmeal is great for hydrating the skin. Add half a cup of oatmeal in your bathing tub and gently rub it all over you skin. This will hydrate your skin.
